Fran Dereszynski 

An active LLL Leader for 38 years, Fran has edited Area and Area Network newsletters, and LLLI journals. She has three adult children and three grandchildren. Fran and her husband live in Huntington Beach, California, USA.

Judith Gibel

Judith enjoys reviewing LLL publications and making sure information is accurate and up-to-date, as well as enjoyable to read. Judith’s background as a Professional Liaison LLL Leader, nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a Master’s Degree in biology is an asset in carrying out that task. She has been in LLL publications since 2007. Judith raised her two children in Miami Beach Florida USA, where she still lives with her husband.

Toshi Jolliffe

Toshi has been a Leader since 1996 and she is proud to be a reviewer for Leader Today.  She is also the Director of the Leader Accreditation Department.  Toshi is from Japan and lives in Luxembourg, Europe, with her Scottish husband, Michael.

Mary Lofton

Mary, a Leader for 38 years (1969-2007) is our longest serving member of the review board. Originally an English teacher, Mary has held many positions at LLLI including Public Relations Manager. She and her husband have four children and eight grandchildren and live in Riverside IL, a suburb of Chicago, USA.

Juanita Watt

A Leader since 1977, Juanita has edited her Area’s newsletter, served in the US Western Division’s publications department, and joined the LERB in 1995. She and her husband live in New Mexico, USA, and have two daughters and one granddaughter.

Mary Francell and her husband Howard are the parents of three breastfed children, ages 24, 20 and 17. She has been a La Leche League Leader for over 20 years and is currently Area Professional Liaison for LLL of Georgia, USA. An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Mary works part-time at a pediatric office and also sees clients on contract with a private lactation practice in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Preparing for Leadership

Linda has had experience reviewing articles for both the Leader Accreditation Department (LAD) and Professional Liaison Department (PLD).  She is currently the Administrator for Leader Accreditation (ALA) for La Leche League Canada and a member of the LAD Council.  Linda is the mother of two grown daughters and one breastfed grandson and currently lives in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Annette Green was born and raised in Australia but moved to Israel 20 years ago. She has two daughters and has been a Leader since 2004. Currently, she is a lone Leader of a Group in Modi’in, Israel. She is the co-Associate Area Coordinator of Leaders (AACL) in Israel and a member of the GLC (Global Leaders Committee). Annette has her own holistic health clinic helping women with fertility, pregnancy and menopause challenges.

Growing your Group

Polly Smith was accredited in September 2014 when she began co-leading LLL Southampton in Great Britain with her two co-Leaders. She is currently involved in running a pilot antenatal breastfeeding class and is actively involved in the local maternity hospital initiative (Breastfeeding Champions) to improve breastfeeding at the hospital. Polly home educates her six year old twins and plans to commence lactation consultant training this year.

Helping Mothers

Tessa Clark has been a La Leche League Leader in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, Great Britain since 2016. She recently joined the Leader Accreditation Department (LAD) in Great Britain. Tessa reviews submissions for Breastfeeding Today, and enjoys writing regularly for Breastfeeding Matters and Feedback (LLLGB publications). A paediatric nurse who has worked with breastfeeding families in a range of settings, Tessa plans to start lactation consultant training in 2018. Tessa lives with her husband and two little boys.
